Summary

I have worked as an IT consultant for more than 23 years – and as a freelance consultant for
the past 17 years.

I have a very strong background in database design, data analysis, data architecture and
data modeling – primarily using Oracle databases. I have extensive experience in PL/SQL
programming, data warehouse design, implementation and ETL processes using Oracle
warehouse builder. I've good knowledge of and have worked with OBIEE and Discoverer as
BI tools and Reports builder as reporting tool.

Furthermore, I am highly experienced in the development of Web applications based on
Oracle ADF, JEE using Glassfish or Weblogic, PHP Zend and WebServices.
In addition to systems development, I am also an experienced DBA, primarily on Oracle
databases and application servers. Additionally extensive knowledge of MySQL.

My main intersts today is open source based - primarily Hadoop, noSql and the ecosystem
growing around it. I have comprehensive knowledge about how to install, configure and
using Hadoop including writing MapReduce objects to transform data. For storing data I
certainly know the difference between SQL and noSQL databases and the different types of
noSQL databases in existence. I have knowledge of tools used for predictive analytics.

But I lack project experience with Big Data.
